Thank you for voting early. I voted early as well. It feels good fulfilling a civic duty and exercising your rights.

Good for you.

I voted absentee here in CA, to avoid lines and stress on election day.

I miss the sticker that says "I voted," but it's all worth it.

I got a sticker - with a peach on it, oddly enough. I guess I'm not used to these GA traditions.

I voted early in Ohio yesterday. It took 6 hours. Standing in line in front of me was a black woman with a cane (who also waited six hours) and her teenage daughter, voting for the first time, who kept wanting to get out of line because she didn't think her vote would make any difference. This gave rise to repeated tellings-off (to put it lightly) by her mother, as well as my girlfriend and I talking loudly about how 100 years ago this line would have been all white men (and 200 years ago, only the ones who owned property), and about how many women got beaten, jailed, and force-fed through a tube down their throat to change that. The kid voted, so I guess that's what's important.
