I'd vote for Sam Bee. Good golly she's so funny. Where did they dig up that conservative lady? Has she never seen the show? Perfect take down too.
Okay. Here's my two cents. I am *totally* ready for a woman President so long as Hillary doesn't breast feed in a restaurant. Oh, wait, am I getting my blog posts mixed up? My bad. It must be the beer(s).Seriously though (okay, still maybe not so much). If George wasn't showing his nurturing side when he was giving Angela Merkel the quick shoulder massage, then I don't know what he was doing. Now, seriously. I simply do not understand how this question can keep coming up. Is it because we are a "young" country? Obviously other countries have managed it just fine. Benazir Bhutto is even giving it a go again against a complete military dictatorship. How is it we cannot be ready for it? I'm simply at a loss.
It isn't that we aren't ready. It is that we have a media that recognizes that it is cheaper and less time-consuming to chit-chat about superficial issues and promote gender stereotypes than it is to actually do some real reporting about important issues. , the major broadcast and cable networks spend all the time alloted to coverage of political campaigns talking not about the actual differences in the candidates' policies, but instead discussing people's reactions to and perceptions of the candidates.
Foiled by Blogger again! The missing clause above is: "As Krugman points out..."
